Writing second album

Thank you for your amazing response to our debut album “Permeate”! You encouraged us to start writing album number two straight away! The work will take a while, especially since the songs will have a common theme that requires some research, so please bear with us. In the meantime, keep checking our regularly updated concert dates and come see us at a show!

Debut album “Permeate” OUT NOW!

Release day! We’re extremely happy to present our debut album “Permeate” to you, released today on ScentAir Records.

You can preview the complete album on our Bandcamp page, download it in digital form, or order a CD copy, with the option of having it signed by Gijs.

Alternatively, you can order the CD at these international mailorders: Poponaut (Germany), Popmarket (Russia) and TestHiFi (Russia). A great way to save on postage if you’re ordering merch from other bands as well!

“Permeate” release show

We will celebrate the release of our debut album “Permeate” with a special release show in Café de Cactus in Hengelo (NL) on September 16th at 20:00. We will play an hour long set with many songs from the new album and we will be happy to sign your purchased CDs afterwards. Special guests for this concert are Voltmeister, who will warm up the audience with the analogue voltage flowing through their enormous modular synths. Admittance is free!

Signed to ScentAir Records

We’re proud to announce that we’ve signed with ScentAir Records for the release of our debut album “Permeate” on September 8th 2017. ScentAir is the home of many established quality synthpop acts and the label is run with a lot of passion and dedication for this type of music. The album will be released both digitally and on CD. Right now, we’re working very hard to put the finishing touches on the mixes and can’t wait to share the new material with you!

Two December shows with new live member

Heliophile will play Muziek bij de Buren in Hengelo (NL) on December 11th and De Langste Nacht (with Schwarzblut and the art installation Symphony of Fire) at Kunstenlab in Deventer (NL) on December 17th. Joining us for these shows is our new live synth player Maarten Vloon, so we are now a three-piece. Welcome aboard, Maarten!

Muziek bij de Buren is a music festival that takes place in people’s living rooms. It’s held on the same day, Sunday December 11th 2016, in several cities in The Netherlands. In Hengelo there are 66 living rooms participating! Heliophile will play 3 half-hour shows at Dr. Schaepmanstraat 27, starting at 12:45, 14:15 and 15:45. More info about the festival and its locations and bands can be found at:

De Langste Nacht is a dark electronic music event held at the Kunstenlab in Deventer (NL) on Saturday December 17th. At 20:30 the art installation Symphony of Fire will start a spectacular outdoor show (free admission) with music created by tesla coils, roaring engines, fire and cannon drums. The evening will continue indoors (€5 admission, no presale) with performances by Heliophile (21:30) and Schwarzblut (22:30), featuring Gijs on drums, backing vocals and synths. After the live shows, DJs will keep the party going.

We hope to see you at one or both of these events!
